Giants of the Veľká Fatra

Along hidden trails to the highest summits of the Veľká Fatra mountains, past rocky viewpoints and across open mountain ridges.

This journey leads into a lesser-known side of the Veľká Fatra, where forest trails gradually give way to open mountain landscapes. Rocky corners and hidden viewpoints appear between the trees, revealing the surrounding mountains from a different perspective.

Higher up, we reach an open ridge and climb the two highest peaks of the Veľká Fatra range. The landscape opens in every direction, with views stretching across mountain meadows and valleys, offering a moment of distance from the world below.

There is also room to slow down and recharge. Depending on the conditions, its possible to stop at a mountain hotel for a warm bowl of soup or a coffee before continuing our journey.

A full mountain day for those who enjoy discovering lesser-known trails, climbing above the forests and experiencing a mix of effort, open landscapes and moments to pause along the way.
